My kitchen is the heart of our multi-generational home. The most important room in the house and the biggest expense, so it has to be right. When redeveloping a 1960’s bungalow, an old family home on Dartmoor it was crucial to blend contemporary living in a countryside setting. Aesthetics for me was the most important factor. Annmarie at Arrital helped us create a space where there wasn’t any scope for clutter but retaining a warm and inviting environment with clever use of colour and texture. At every stage on our long journey, Annmarie was a pleasure to work with and nothing was too much trouble. The kitchen is my domain so keeping the drink making facilities separate to the cooking area was really important and besides, I’ve always wanted a bar! My kitchen makes me smile every day!
